Work with Hamilton naturopath Dr. Emily Bennett
During our first visit, you can expect to spend approximately 75 minutes reviewing your chief concerns, discussing your medical history, and going over your current supplement and/or medication regime. An important part of this visit is establishing a baseline for your symptoms and condition, and coming up with a way to track your improvements. A focused physical exam with vitals will be completed in the first or second visit depending on time available.
For your first appointment bring along
- blood work, previous testing, or image reports
- a list of medications/supplements
- an idea of what your goals for working together are; what do you want to achieve by working with a naturopathic doctor? Where are you hoping to be health-wise 3, 6, 12 months from now?
Most extended benefits and health care packages from schools and employers provide coverage for care by a licensed naturopathic doctor. I am registered with all major insurance company as a provider. Check your plan to see what is covered for you!

FOLLOW UP VISITS
Our second visit will be 1-2 weeks following our first visit and will last 30-60 minutes depending on the nature of your concern. You can expect to lay out together a timeline of our treatment plan over the next 3-12 months, so that we can both have an idea of how often we will need to see each other, how long we can expect things to take, and an approximate idea of how to budget for your care over the year. We will also complete a detailed review of nutrition and dietary recommendations and discuss additional testing where necessary.
Follow-up visits may also include revisions to your treatment plan, ongoing care (e.g. acupuncture, counselling), and addressing of new/past concerns.
