All my favourite blogs do link roundups, so why not mine? Herein we start a weekly tradition (upon recommendation of my clever friend Katherine) - woohoo!
I came upon lots of sweet health related stuff on the internet this week, check it out, let me know what you think.
Dr. Alan Gaby's response to the widely disseminated "Enough is enough: stop wasting money on vitamin and mineral supplements" editorial published in the Annals of Internal Medicine a couple of weeks ago. He took the words right out of my mouth.
Dr. Aviva Romm, my favourite herbalist/midwife/MD (ya!) and head of the wonderful Herbal Medicine for Women program I'm currently a part of wrote this awesome article on 7 ways you can join the health revolution and change the world. She has such an incredible wealth of knowledge and an enviable positive attitude that she manages to radiate out into the online world.
This looks pretty neat - came to me via the wild and wonderful Susun Weed, it's a free online summit called Red Tents in Every Neighborhood. Wisdom, insight and inspiration from female leaders and educators all over the world in the form of a daily link to a video meant to empower you in your moon time! Yes, moon time. You know what I'm talking about.
Some insight from the Food Renegade on whether coconut sugar is sustainable.
So did Kris from 80twenty, along with what looks like a really delicious recipe for a winter fruit superfood parfait (super AND seasonal!).
These two recipes also piqued my interest as I am both a spaghetti squash fiend and on the look out for more recipes that allow me to dump stuff into a slow cooker and then forget about it while I watch 7 episode's of Bob's Burgers in my pajamas. From Lexi's Clean Kitchen, spaghetti squash pad thai and Living Lou's slow cooker moroccan chicken stew.
And finally...a pretty awesome picture of an octopus cause why the heck not.
Have a sweet sweet weekend everyone!
